ABOUT THE TIVOLI THEATRE

The TIVOLI THEATRE, built in 1928, is a unique and historic movie theatre located in Downers Grove, Illinois.
Meticulously remodeled in the French Renaissance style, its hauntingly beautiful decor evokes all the enchantment of the Golden Age of Cinema.

Only the second theatre in America to exhibit sound movies,  the TIVOLI has proudly maintained its original dimensions, with a majestic auditorium boasting 1,012 seats, as well as a marvelous Wurlitzer theatre organ.

Designed by the architectural firm of VAN GURTEN & VAN GURTEN, the TIVOLI exhibits both first and second-run movies throughout the year, and hosts a number of live music concerts.
